Double rewards for Rockstar’s Featured Series made for a crazy day of adventure and misadventure in Plunder and Spoils of War in the hardcore versions. More cash, more gold, and more anarchy in the wild west. Frankly, an act of justice so long deserved.
The official Rockstar Games Twitter account spotted the chance and created a wave of excitement that was almost immediately dashed by the opposing voices, who really had something on their minds at the moment. While some were rejoicing over the double rewards (thanks for the hype, @RePeteW), it also gave others the chance to remind Rockstar that there was this little something to talk about called GTA 6. Uh-huh, that one.
@ChewyBytesS really delivered the line: “This is all good, but people are still waiting for GTA 6… Okay, I’ll go make my own game for now.” That had to sting a little. And for good reason.
Localization requests seemed to rise above all else in the responses. The Turkish contingent was leading in requesting Turkish subtitles for any Rockstar titles to be released moving forward. They felt the language barrier was causing players to shun games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 or GTA 5. Justifiable enough, really-an issue that presents itself in a very practical manner-if players can not understand the mission prompts, how the heck will they know which train to rob?
The Arabic group made their mark as well, with @khalid991Z begging, “Please, we want to support the Arabic language. Translate menus and texts. We want to enjoy the story and understand it in our language.” Rockstar, in contrast, remains silent, yet judging by the sheer mass of voices, maybe… just maybe… they will listen.
Having distractions about GTA 6 or localization issues were not the interests of all parties. Some were just happy about the attention Red Dead Online was getting. @Chelleesi expressed this in a simple sentence, “Thank you for not forgetting about those of us who love RDR ❣️.” Rare in such demanding waters is a wholesome act.
Double rewards for hardcore Plunder and Spoils of War is the news. If you have never ever stepped into these modes, then that’s your perfect time to do so. Hardcore means: no auto-aim, no minimap, a hell lot of bullets flying across, and double rewards.
Saddle up! Lock and Load! Start counting the winnings! But don’t expect Rockstar to say a single word about that giant, full-grown redwood sitting smack in the middle of the room called GTA 6 any time soon-they’re way too engrossed in counting all that gold from the Red Dead Online microtransactions.
Meanwhile, for those still nurturing the thought of a GTA 6 trailer release… That said, maybe you should start going crazy with some cowboy chaos in the meanwhile. Just throwing it.
