Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has shared his reaction to James Gunn’s Superman, calling the film “great” and praising David Corenswet’s take on the iconic hero.
Speaking to The Wrap, Feige said, “I love how you just jump right into it. You don’t know who Mr. Terrific is? Tough. You’ll figure it out. You don’t know what this is? Just go, go. This is a fully fleshed-out world.”
Feige added that Corenswet was “charming” and “a great, amazing Superman.” He admitted he wasn’t familiar with the actor’s past work, saying, “I want to watch. I can’t remember what he’s done. I didn’t really know him before.”
Superman opened with strong a box office collection. It earned $125 million in the U.S. and $220 million globally during its first weekend. In India, it became the biggest opening weekend ever for a DC title.
