Epic is just dropping patches to keep the madness on, as some nutty rumors have comprised of the free Corvette, Rocket League collabs, and sometimes sudden disappearance of the Superman mythic. Another patch full of surprises again, while the silence from, say, mobile gamers, gets louder as they find it hard to complete the new Rocket League challenges.
We would all disagree, the Weird Blitz Void Mask Week is here with new cosmetics and vibes. But the news is about the Superman mythic being out of the picture. Poof. Disabled. No explanations. Just, gone. As though it were wiped out with some kryptonite. Some players had smelled this coming; @Homealoneonly tweeted, “Superman was expected,” while @XSETMando said plainly: “Superman mythic flopped.” Oof!
However, fixes are coming from Epic Games. The Summer Quests are now live, and completing them nets you a FREE Corvette! Yeah, an actual car. One tweet summed it up from @pakistan_proudi: “Blitz Corvette, free skin Fortnite stays winning.” Meanwhile, @Soulbound_TV jokes, “Superman got benched but we got a free whip—fair trade 😤.”
The Rocket League collaboration is back—and mayhem has ensued. Choose your free Octane skin in Battle Royale, along with a free glider, for playing one private match with custom mutators. Sounds easy, yeah? Nah. The struggles have begun already. @GlennZiessen said, “Mission doesn’t work for the car,” while @Tuebewanna admitted, “I’ve played multiple private matches and still didn’t get it!”
Then there’s the matter of free skin rewards for earning 15 saves in Rocket League online matches. Casuals are totally upside down! In desperation, @themindoftj_ asked, “WHAT ARE SAVES,” while @hatagYT warned, “Mobile players might have trouble with this one.” Then comes @Joovainn with his hacker-gamer insight: “I just camped goal and got the 15 in 3 games.”
Not nearly everyone is happy with this: @vfxservox simply stated, “I don’t even play that s game,” and @ViceXXII bemoaned, “How do they expect Fortnite babies who love bot lobbies to get this 😥😥😥.” Wouldn’t help you anyway, pal.
The update hinted at future content, with one user asking, @amanda_panasuk: “When is Mega City coming to Blitz?” To which @VandyMetaX groaned, “When Blitz map change? It’s so boring.” No replies yet; but given the track record, Epic definitely has got something cooking.
Such was another day for a Fortnite update, a perfect balance between excitement and frustration. Free stuff? I can’t say no! Confusing Challenges? Meh…not so much. At the very least, we got a Corvette; now I’m off to camp at a Rocket League goal.
If you’re all stuck, though, remember what @LuvMeSumBots advised: “Hit the ball away in front of your net before it scores. Don’t go too far from your goal or it won’t count.” You’re most welcome.
In conclusion? Fortnite stays unpredictable for the most part, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. Mostly.
