Well in advance of its December 5th release, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment have announced that Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will receive a major update. This update will include the much-requested third-person view and the ever-popular New Game+. The latter allows players to begin a new game with all the perks and bonuses discovered on their first complete playthrough.
To showcase what folks can expect when the patch launches later this year, the dev team released a trailer with all of the details.
What do these new features bring to the game?
In Third-Person Mode, players can experience Pandora from a new perspective at the push of a button. Whether exploring the Western Frontier, fighting the RDA, or simply taking in the views, Third-Person Mode brings a new sense of scale, freedom, and immersion. The development team has reworked animations, controls, audio, and camera systems to ensure the experience feels seamless and intuitive.
New Game+ offers a fresh challenge for seasoned players looking to dive deeper into the world of Pandora. Players can replay the story of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora while keeping their inventory and skills, facing tougher enemies and unlocking a brand-new skill tree and more powerful gear.
Ubisoft also announced steep discounts to purchase the game as part of its celebratory post. For a limited time, new players can purchase the game for up to 70% off its normal price. The game is currently available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, or PC via the Epic Games Store or the Ubisoft Store. For instance, PC players can purchase the game via the Ubisoft Store for a mere $21 instead of the normal $69.99 price point. That’s a sweet deal!
