During Ubisoft’s latest earnings call, it was confirmed that Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC is arriving in Q2 FY2025.
In the earnings report, Ubisoft mentioned that Assassin’s Creed Shadows has performed “in line with expectations” and revealed that the game hit 5 million players recently. They are currently working on enhancing the player experience while preparing new content for AC Shadows, such as the Claws of Awaji DLC.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC Release Window Revealed
The earnings report also mentioned that Assassin’s Creed Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC will release in Q2 FY2025, which is by the end of September 2025. The expansion will feature 10 hours of new content for players to enjoy with Naoe and Yasuke. Moreover, there are some new weapons, skills and abilities to master in the upcoming DLC. Insider Gaming exclusively reported in May that Claws of Awaji would be targeting a September release.

About Claws of Awaji
In the AC Shadows Claws of Awaji DLC, players will embark on a new adventure with Naoe and Yasuke. This adventure takes them to the Island of Awaji, located beyond Osaka Bay. Players will be tasked to reclaim a lost treasure, which means securing an object for Japan’s future. However, this journey will not be as players will be relentlessly hunted by new enemies, the Sanzoku Ippa.
Sanzoku Ippa is a brand-new faction that will set up a variety of traps and ambushes, which players must be wary of. Moreover, they can master a new weapon type for Naoe, the Bō. Additionally, there are various skills, gear, abilities, and over 10 hours of additional content to explore.
