The title had just entered into the PS Plus catalog, and the whole gamer community was abuzz. Abiotic Factor is a low-poly adventure style where teamwork holds paramount importance, now opened for subscribers. Here, you and your squad are thrown under a disorderly universe where making stuff, survival, and cosmic threats are forming a crush-warped version of your life.
Mixed reviews, indeed. Some really hyped for this one. One @RePeteW referred to it as the “Low poly pals, high-stakes survival,” whereas others, such as @sagittariusNull, dismissed it as “another shovelware ps plus title.” But hey, can’t please everybody.
That name has been around the PC for some time now, but it finally got its PlayStation debut. That is big for co-op players,” as @BodhisattvaPGH put it. @UnfilteredManan said it best: “Nothing beats battling through tough challenges with friends.”
Again, it doesn’t convince everyone. With much fervor, @RinoTheBouncer responded, “We need PS1-PS3 classics, please. Not phone games,” and began a whole debate in the replies. @BobRossOnBase then went loud: “NO WE DO NOT NEED MORE REMASTERS, WE NEED NEW GAMES.” …Fair enough, but also, survival crafting fans are eating well today.
For now, some players just like the new co-op option. @mamaralic cheered, “Finally a new co-op again!” While @OurFutureEFI was already downloading it, saying, “Thanks for the reminder.”
Abiotic Factor: The actual work of teamwork is to gather resources, build a base, and survive whatever the universe throws at you. If you have played Rust or Ark but thought they’d be a bit more… geometric-this probably might be your cup of tea.
Not convinced? witty comment from @matthewhparker: “About the millionth survival crafting game,’ and yes, the genre is packed. But if you love scavenge-build-survive-repeat, then probably worth a good bit of your collection.
Honest not to say! These PS Plus games can be hit-or-miss, but this one really does have some charm. The low-poly art style brings it the charm, and co-op can only add to the good kind of mayhem.
So get your friends up, dust off their PS5s, and see if Abiotic Factor is worth the hype. If survival crafting isn’t your thing, maybe next month’s lineup has the sprint car game @_corum__ has been begging for.
Either way, that’s another day, another PS Plus drop. Love it or hate it, at least it’s something new to try. Now, whose hard drive is getting tight? Because SithWimV’s definitely is not!
