Starting with the Ferrari F40, frankly, it got a ton of love. Sephyroth89 outright called it the GOAT, posting a picture, and it was the equivalent of mic drop. And really? That car is a legend. No arguments there. JasonAreGonnuts threw down drool emoji-worthy praise for the Maserati MC12 Stradale because… yeah, just chef’s kiss.
But the less-supercar set also came to bat. JoshuaE51396105 took the C-3 Corvette under “minority opinion” to extremes: respect for the bold take, man. saulaula2 just kept it real: VW Golf ’93. No complications, pure vibes.
Some wildcards. GulagTime_ came out hot for the 2003 Ford Excursion, those fire emojis practically spammed as a second coming in automotive design. I-I guess? Meanwhile, DarkSchuey gave us the sadness: showing pictures of a car that’s still not in the game. The pain is real.
Some asked for a couple more additions. TDrift654 posted a gif of a wicked ride captioned “one I WISH you guys could add.” Forza devs, are you hearing them? The people want their dream machines.
Then came the fights. Maxredute said, “nice beetle, but I’m afraid you’re wrong” in response to maxcummy’s Beetle loves, followed up with a pic of something probably way cooler. Meanwhile, a mini-debate erupted at ATREES_92, debating whether the Ferrari Pista was just better than a 458. Spoiler: It kinda is.
The thread had its shares of deep cuts, as well. R4M_vonMartritz brought up the Jaguar E-Type, citing Enzo Ferrari as saying that it was “the most beautiful car ever made.” Can’t argue with the man who invented Ferrari, eh?
And the real winner? Variety, pure and simple. From the Apollo IE to the Lexus LFA, the Porsche 911 GT1 to the Sony Vision-S (wait, Sony makes cars now?), the Forza community proved one thing: taste is subjective, but passion is universal.
So who’s got the verdict? No one. Forza Horizon‘s car list rolls out icons, sleepers, and everything in-between such that players will always have really strong opinions. Strong opinions and disagreements make it enjoyable. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to look up how to drive a Ford Excursion.
